a possum has been eating the cats food daily, both daytime and nighttime. Doesn't seem to be afraid of humans either. Do possums get rabies? Do we have to worry about our cats? Thought they were nocturnal. Forgot to tell him that!

Potty training advise?

My daughter is 3 years old. We've been trying to accomplish potty training for 4 months now. I put her in panties during the day and pull ups at night. She really doesn't have a problem going tee tee in the potty unless she's playing and gets side tracked. I reward her with a sucker everytime she goes to the potty. The problem I am having is her going number two. She will not do it in the potty for NOTHING! She waits til after she poops in her panties to tell me she had to poop. She will be 4 in January and would REALLY like to have her completely trained by then but it seems like it's impossible. I've tried explaining to her if she poops in the potty she will get a big reward like a new barbie or a new toy or a new movie... but NOTHING!!! what gives!?

Your Opinion on Teen Mom shows?

I'd really like to hear opinions on shows like 16 & Pregnant, Teen Mom, Etc. Even opinions on TV shows such as Kate Plus 8, and Octomom. In my personal opinion, especially the pregnant teen shows are just about immature girls who throw temper tantrums and blame their parents/boyfriend for every little thing. I also feel bad for the children of the moms, because they're getting exploited before they can even talk! In Kate Plus 8, I think the same type of thing occurs. Kate and her now ex husband start drama and exploit their children. Granted, sometimes these shows do show the hardships of being a young parent, but mostly they are rewarding teens for making a bad choice.

"positive consequences"?

Positive consequences are important in elementary school because often kids only get attention when they're not doing well. Much of it is negative attention, but it's still attention, and that's what some kids really need. Young children are very short term thinkers, and many do what feels good in the moment, especially if the family doesn't keep an eye o them. They'll watch TV instead of doing homeowrk because they aren't mature enough to anticipate the detention or whatever they get when the teacher finds out. As kids mature, we hope they'll be able to set their own personal goals and feel happy with a good report card or a college acceptance. Ideally, the consequences should be taken over by the family: our son is an artist, and we went to all his school exhibits and celebrated when he achieved a significant goal. Unfortunately, not all families try to be supportive, so kids need other reinforcements. It's sad that the schools have to provide them, but that's the way it is. And there are many ADULTS who have very little self-discipline or motivation unless there's a material reward for achievement. It's the way society has become. If you don't need the rewards, fine. But there are a lot of kids who do. Sad, really.

i was having a minor nightmare,then all of a sudden i woke up with my eyes all wide, and i saw Jesus' face!!! It was tan, with long dark brown hair and a small beard. Ok so I ordered a tbone steak when I was down south and the waitress this black girl asked how old I was then she mentioned that she didn't have her first steak until she was 24. Why won't my dog clicker train?

Okay so I have a five year old chihuahua jack russel mix and I was wanting to introduce him to the clicker. I sat down with him for about thirty minutes and began the click and reward step. During this time he had no interest what so ever in the sound, nor did he relate it with the treat. He had all his focass on the hand with the treat. Job too good to quit & too good to stay! to quit a very stressful job for health, marriage, kids, etc.?

job 18 years, doing the job of at least 2 people, not a hard job--just a very stressful job! I start getting mentally & physically sick on Sunday just dreading Monday mornings! I cant seem to even enjoy the weekends knowing how short they are! My house stays a wreck, I have stopped cooking, I am tired or screaming all the time, etc. I make good money & in fact, I am the primary bread winner. I am also on 2 antidepressants and 2 BP meds! We are not a materialistic family. Our biggest expense is private school for our twin boys (10 years old). I do think that with very statigic planning that we my be able to continue with private school. I dont expect staying at home to be a 'walk in the park'. In fact, I expect it to be harder but way more rewarding and hopefully more enjoyable. I dont want to exchange one set of worries for another though. Anyone with similiar experiences? any words of wisdom? Thanks for any input! :)

Lost keys for job. Any advice?

I'm taking over as the DSD reciever at my job for a week, since the usual reciever is on vacation. Unfortunately, I've lost a set of important keys for the job. I've tried looking for it in my room, since the keys were attached to my pants, but I can't find them. I already let the usual reciever and the manager of the store know. The manager doesn't want to let Loss Prevention know, because he says they'll go "ape-****," but I don't think I'll find the keys like he wants me to. Many spelling and grammatical errors, and it's a bit cheesy, but i think it has potential. Have you ever heard the phrase, "show, don't tell?" it means that you should show your reader what is happening, rather than telling them straight out. for example, instead of saying the sun is shining, you could say warm beams of light hit beat down on my skin. i think that if you would show your reader more things in this story it would be dramatically improved.

Okay, I have looked at all the similar posts to this and I have tried everything. My boyfriend and I have been together for the past 2 1/2 years and I love him to death. He is extremely hardworking, loyal, and is everything I could ever wish for. We are high school sweethearts. He is the only person I have ever been with romantically and I never want that to change. I plan on being with him for the rest of my life. I just have a huge issue with his poor hygiene. The kid could seriously go weeks without showering. We fight about it all the time. I just have a really sensitive nose and his smelly breath and stinky a** seriously bring me to a breaking point. There have been a few times that I have even threatened to leave him because of it. I hate feeling like such a nag too...I feel like I shouldn't have to be his mom but if I never said anything he would never do it. He says it's because he hates water. He weighs like 112 and is 5'9 so he is very skinny and whenever he gets out of the shower he is freezing. I bought him a big fuzzy robe to wear afterwards but I guess it doesn't help. Ive tried being nice, sex in the shower, denying sex (although it doesn't seem to bother him which kinda breaks my heart so I wind up begging him for it eventually) I've bought him really yummy smelling cologne and body wash but he doesn't seem to like the smell. Also he has really bad skin issues, like he has really bad dandruff and to be honest, it really grosses me out. Is it okay to let my ferret roam around?

Our ferret learned how to open his cage last month and ever since then he jumps off the balcony and roams around outside, but he always comes back. We decided to put his cage in the backyard and leave it open for him to come and leave when he wants. We let him inside a lot and play with him though (he's never outside when it rains), do you think one day he'll run away? We also have possums at night, but I haven't seen them around for a while, I don't think they would hurt him, but we do bring him in at night sometimes. What do you think?

How do I get rid of a possum?

I'm at my cousins house and their is a possum in their back yard. Their dogs are cornering it but they won't do anything to it. It keeps hissing and snapping at the dogs. Jaw bone skeleton identification?

I found a jawbone on top of some pluff mud on a river bank in SC. It has no molars, only pointy teeth. It also appears to have a small nostril on the very end of the nose. It is broken, but it seems to have eye sockets a little larger than a quarter. It's somewhat fragile, so its not SUPER old, and definitely not fossilized, just a lil green from sitting in seaweed;) I want to post a pic, but I don't know how :) Thanks for any help!! OH! The piece I have is about 3+ inches wide, and a little over an inch tall. Since it has no molars, it's any of the following...racoon, possum, cat, or a dog. I also looked up Kamodo Dragons, and it's definiely not that either. The tip of the nose on the skeleton is very wide, boxy almost, it doesn't slant like an alligator, or a lizard. Today is probably the nicest day so far to go our to my backyard here in Toronto... when I came out I found animal hair scattered all over my backyard... I saw a raccoon walking around the neighborhood a couple of nights and immediately thought this was raccoon hair... Do raccoons change hair/fur ? could this be a possum? How Do I Handle 11-Month Old Chihuahua Aggression?

I have been very consistent in training my chihuahua, who is now currently 11 months old and 9 lbs. He has been with me since 12-weeks and was neutered as a young puppy as he had started to exhibit certain behaviours (humping objects, etc) that led it to be advised. He is crate trained, potty trained, social and friendly in the dog park, but has exhibited aggressive behaviours from time to time. He is not allowed on the furniture, is made to wait for humans to enter doors first, and must sit or do other tricks to be rewarded or served his food. However, his aggression has been most seen around food, guarding his crate, guarding me, or when people pet him. Before, he would always want attention from others, but now he will be comfortable receiving a pet but then suddenly turns and snaps, warding off whoever is petting him. My boyfriend, who lives with us, is the most frequent victim. This past weekend, after getting picked up from the train station, I was sitting with my mother and the dog in the back seat of the car. She was petting and he suddenly tensed up and tried to bite her. Prior, he had always been very calm and well behaved in the car. On another occasion, while sitting on my boyfriend's lap in the car, my boyfriend was holding him and moved his hands slightly and the dog began to growl. I'd don't know if this is fear based or territorial. But the behaviour is very fickle and changes quickly. He will be accepting one minute, then suddenly tense and upset. He has been examined recently with a good bill of health. This behaviour is never exhibited towards me. After he lashes out, he instantly gets embarrassed, will lower his head in submission, and know that he has done something wrong. But he will still possibly lash out if anyone is in his space. I'm worried as this behaviour is new, as in the past few weeks, and I want to nip it in the bud. In regards to his aggression in the crate, I've had my boyfriend casually drop treats into the crate when the dog is resting inside, and speaking kindly to him. How do I get my computer to recognize my new SATA hard drive?

I’m not very good with computers and I just tried to install a new 500GB hard drive. I connected it to the SATA ports and plugged in the power cord, but it does not show up when I try to find it or save something to it. It shows my primary hard drive and my disk drive, but not my second hard drive. I rechecked the cables and ran the “detect new hardware” utility, but it did not work. ok so around 3 30 i went outside to the car and i saw this possum in the driveway just sitting there dazed i think it saw me and it wobbled off slowly.. and it was daytime... and then it went over to this house with no one living in it and it went by there idk what happened after that but i was just in the kitchen around 6 p.m and its still light out since its getting warm out and i saw it again in my NEIGHBORS backyard and they have this huge dog and i just saw the dog chasing him. he was by the road and had his invisible wall thing on so i think the small possum got away. Ok so here's what happened, well first of all my cat had kittens three of em and we had had her in this backroom in my house . And by the way Its a backroom where u can leave the back door open. Ok anyways she had kittens in this box we left in there and we had em for a couple days in there , and there were starting to open there eyes just a lil and one day my gf decided that she was gnnna leave the back door open and I thought it was a bad idea cuz anything can go in and mess with them cuz there still very small and cuz there's this possum that always go around there .and she didn't listen to me and did it anyways. So when she went to go close the door later that day the kittens were missing !! Then we came to the conclusion that the possum took them and were very sad.cuz we did see that same possum that night in theback yard... But as days past we see are cat MIMI who had the kittens, come out from under this shed a few times and. we dnt normally see her under there she's always up and about Having a good time so we kinda are thinking that she moved them under but not sure. My dog needs to know who's boss?

I'm in the process of training my dog. She's about 2 years old. (i know its a little late) She only listens when i reward her with treat. If i try to tell her to come here, or to sit and shake she looks for the treat in my hand, and if its not there she's not in. I then attempted to keep it in the box until after the trick or command is obeyed. It didn't work. i THEN tried to just pet her after the command. She just doesnt want anything to do w/ it! How do I break my lease in Texas due to unsafe living conditions?

When I first moved in February 2010 we found out we had rats. When I told the owner/landlord they said there was never a problem with rats before & just put out some traps ( I have dogs so I'm reluctant to use poison.) It took a month or so till we stopped seeing them. Then I started hearing chh chh chh in the walls. Turns out we had a family of possums living in the walls. Again, they acted like they had never had the problem before but dropped off a used live trap & showed me how to set it. One mom & four babies later we finally stopped hearing the noises. Then this winter we had a whole new set of rodents. Squirrels...playing chase in our attic & storing nuts in our walls. I informed the landlord & she said there is no way that squirrels were in the walls and anyways, you can't get rid of squirrels. Imagine my surprise when the caulking around the bathtub started dissapearing. One morning I was in the bathroom and I saw pieces of an acorn come shooting out the hole left by (whatever) removed it. My daughter has a friend who's house burned down due to rodents chewing up the wiring.Now summer has rolled around and we are having a major rat problem again(I trapped four last night). So now I have two types of rodents to deal with. I've sent the landlord a notice stating that these issues need to be fixed, but I do not feel safe. I'd like to break the lease & leave as soon as possible. What steps should I take? Thanks, Penny

How do I replace Oblivion textures using Paint.NET?

I just started using paint.NET to edit textures for The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. I opened the white monk shirt texture and changed it to white and black then i set the brightness down until i got the color i wanted. I didn't replace the file i just saved it in my custom textures file using default settings. Then using Nifskope i replaced the shirt texture with my custom one, then saved it in my custom Nifs file. I went to TES construction set and opened up the piece of armor i made and replaced the nif file with my custom Nif (before editing the texture the file was identical to the original white monk robe). i started up oblivion with my mod activated, and loaded my game. When i looked at myself in the journal every part that would have been changed by the edited texture was invisible, the same happened in 3rd person, everything else was normal however. If someone using paint.NET has experienced this problem before and figured out how to fix it could they please help me out and tell me what you did?

I do agree with you keeping a fish is both pet and hobby. I love taking care of fish.. I've been keeping them for many years. Fish are good pets especially to people who can't keep cats or dogs due to some reasons. They don't cause any allergy reaction because they don't have furs, they are quiet and easy to take care of. What is happening in my house?

So lately (the past few weeks) my door has been opened and closed to my room. I have no idea what it is. Like today my door opened and then closed by itself, I saw nothing, but my brother (who I share a room with) saw a shadowy figure. Also once our dog, a Maltese was in our room when his kennel is downstairs, but the door was still closed tight, like when we went to sleep, and no one was awake yet. So then I started thinking, and my brother when he was little had seen a fox faced, yellow eyed, robed figure in the room we sleep in now. He has seen what he thinks is his guardian angel before, it's a person in all white that glows, but only he sees it, it also seems to age with him. He also once saw a ghost in a hotel, it was a translucent figure that just stood still, he walked up to it and it didn't go away, and he had blinked on the way to it. Everyone in our house in Wisconsin is a believer. So I'm wondering if he can see spiritual creatures, and if you have any idea what might be messing with us in our room.

I Dreamed about being chased by a bear and a possum and I tranquilized the bear?

I dont remember how the dream started but I was go some where and I suddenly ended up in a forest environment while walking and ended up seeing a bear (either brown or black). I climmed up a tree that became very tall and the bear climbed up. I eventually ended up on the ground and In a house where the bear was coming after me from room around the house. Some how a possum got out of a cage and started to do the same and it was talking but I cant remember what it said. Someone else popped up in the dream. It was very weird I think it was the rap artist Drake??? He gave me a tranquilizer gun that was small and shot out little pins. Is it okay to let my ferret roam around?

Our ferret learned how to open his cage last month and ever since then he jumps off the balcony and roams around outside, but he always comes back. We decided to put his cage in the backyard and leave it open for him to come and leave when he wants. We let him inside a lot and play with him though (he's never outside when it rains), do you think one day he'll run away? How well does animal repellents work?

Which ones work best? I want to repellent animals (roof rats or etc.) from getting into my attic, before I close the entry. I have had several pest control companies come in, but all tell me the same thing. I have a roof rat problem, but this thing make sounds with his mouth and he's loud. I caught a wild bunny?

There were possums under our deck, so my dad put an animal trap near the hole where they were getting in. What do you think of my style?

I honesty like your style. I've had problems wearing cowboy cats because their claws get tangled in my hair, but I'm guessing your hair is probably shorter than mine. The trench coat and leather pants are fine, but typically I pair mine with thigh high saddle shoes. In winter, I like the sweatshirt and board shorts, but if you're a fashion forward risk taker, try switching where you wear your thong and flip flops for the shear shock value. I just skip wearing thongs altogether during this season...but hey that's just me. Fall, I've found Gregorian monk robes warmer, but I'm very cold- natured. I also forgo shaving my legs just to stay warmer. I love the sleeveless shirt in summer too, but I prefer a scotish kilt, spats and cowboy boots. How to get my dog to stop barking when I go upstairs to bed?

I have a 4 month old chihuahua dachsund mix that is not allowed upstairs. we know he has a separation anxiety problem that is well getting worked on but for now we are using a gate to keep them in the kitchen at night- don't worry, the kitchen is a pretty big room for them to sniff around, and we only keep them in there at night. One night I was struggling to get them to sleep so I put my robe on the rug for Oscar (my dog) and it seemed to really calm him down then I sneeked out of the kitchen without him seeing me and they also have a moist towel in their crate which also calmed him down. When I went upstairs I didn't hear any barking or crying. That night was okay so I pretty much solved my problem. Just in case my plan does not last what are some other Ideas? HINT: I cannot use a kong because I have 2 dogs down there and only one kong and I cannot lock him in his crate.

Ok this is very serious and I don't want people thinking they are funny or smart giving me one plain answer that does not make any sense.Last night I had the most terrifying nightmare I had in my life.I am 15 years old.Please read all of this I know it is long.Last night in my dream,I was infront of this very scary and dark house.I entered it knowing it is just a dream an i dont usualy have nightmares anymore.I went into this room and their was a man with a black robe sitting on a very satanic bed with the baphoment(symbol of satan) as the sheets.I was very scared and confused of what was happening and I am a christian!The man which I could not see hit face clearly said he was the devil and want me to explore the room.Some force drove me to open a pitch black closet.As I opened it it was the most deepest feeling I had in any dream.When I opened the closet their was a bookshelf about 2 feet long and the under space were you put cloths had nothing in it.All the books were black and one had humans marked on it.As I reached to open it the cover had a pyramid and an eye on top of it looking at me.When I opened it it showed all the names of human people and red marks on them.The book was about 1 feet tall.Then from that moment I knew this was the book the devil used to put the names of the people who are in hell.From that moment I was scared out of my mind about to have a heart attack and this seemed so very real!The next thing I picked from the closet was a round red bag with a rubber band closing it.I opend the red bag and their came out a human head and from that moment I screamed my lungs out and turned around to see a poster of a man.I did research and the man in the poster was Adam Weishaupt,the founder of some secret society called the illuminati.He was looking at me smiling.He had very very sharp eyes and his left eye was red.From that moment his face turned into a demon and his face was the most scariest face I have seen in my entire life,I have not seen a face as demonic as his turned into and I was freaked on the verg of death!The,the bibles words spoke to me inside my mind in my dream were I read said that lucifer shall be thrown inside the lake of fire when the world ocmes to an end.I screamed and closed my eyes and said"Lucifer is temporal and he shall be thrown in the lake of fire when the world comes to an end"and when I opened it the same poster with Adam Weishaupt(founder of the illumanati)was still their,but he was sad.I think that my words from the bible made him very upset.It was a very strange atmosphere while i was in this dream,it was dark,cold,scary,and full of upset emotions.What did this dream mean?I am very scared and I am a christian and the devil and the illumanati is not very pleasent seeing in my dream.I woke up screaming and sweating after it was done.

Why are opossums such weird creatures?

I'm referring to the American opossum or "possum" as it is called. Why are they so weird? They look like predators, have sharp claws, and dagger like teeth, but are barely capable of killing a chicken.
