What's the etiquette for dorm rooms?

For example: After going to take a shower and coming back in a robe, should the other roomate leave the room, look away, pretend to be really occupied? When should the room door be closed? Should it always be locked? I'm going away to college in the fall. Do you have any tips on making this transition easier?
