If jesus was born in Jerusalem, why is he not portrayed as a middle eastern.?

He was a Jew. Yes he did wear the robes and as a Jew he had a beard. So he has long hair and a beard and wearing a robe, so this makes him "hippy looking caucasian". So what does a hippy looking caucasian look like, since we are stereotyping here. If I were to draw a picture of Jesus it would be in a long robe, white in color but a dull white due to the harsh environment. Long hair and again due to the environment, I would say his hair color was dark but wind blown dry hair with some bleaching, so it would have some gray maybe white in it also at his age, early 30"s. Then his skin would be a darker colored and dry, maybe even some cracking with a touch of redness again due the the environment. But who knows what a middle eastern man looked like 2,000 years ago. Man does change over the years, one due to the fall of man and his environment.
