Cancelling Gap Store credit card?

Ok, I went to a GAP at the mall today & was "talked" in enrolling in one of their reward program, but the guy didn't specifically told me I was signing up for a credit card and found it afterward. He told me the card would come in the mail in 2 days, so I was wondering if cancelling it once I receive it would hurt my credit????
