Do Hogwarts students have to wear uniforms?

When the Department of Ministry takes over the school a 'dress code' is strictly enforced. That is mentioned directly in the books so I think at that point if it wasn't mentioned previously the reader is inclined to gather their is a code at this point forward presumably.
